Terms & Conditions

The terms that govern your use of this website, and how they relate to a purchase.

These terms govern your use of the BodyCamera.ae website. Please read them before relying on anything published here. If you buy equipment from us, a separate supply agreement or quotation will govern that sale.

1. About these terms

This website is operated by Body Camera Store, of Baniyas Road, Deira, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Using the site means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

2. Using this website

You may read the site, and download or print pages, for your own or your organisation's evaluation of our products. You may not:

  • republish material from the site commercially without our written permission;
  • copy specifications or imagery into a competing catalogue or tender response presented as your own;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or the server it runs on; or
  • use automated tools to scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other visitors.

3. Product information and specifications

Specifications on this site are taken from manufacturer datasheets current at the time of writing. They are published to help you shortlist equipment, not as a warranty of performance.

Two things follow from that, and both matter when you are writing a tender. Figures quoted as maximums, such as recording hours, battery life, storage capacity or transmission range, are ceilings measured under the manufacturer's test conditions; real figures depend on resolution, temperature, signal strength and how the device is used. And manufacturers revise their products, so a specification can change without us being told. Before you commit to a purchase, ask us to confirm in writing the specification of the exact model and firmware you intend to buy.

Photographs are illustrative. Accessories shown alongside a product are not included unless the description says so.

4. Quotations and orders

Nothing on this website is an offer to sell. Prices and availability are confirmed only in a written quotation from us, and a quotation is valid for the period stated on it. A contract comes into existence when we accept your order in writing. Where a quotation and these terms conflict, the quotation governs the sale.

5. Lawful use of recording equipment

Body-worn and vehicle cameras record people. Whether a particular deployment is lawful depends on where you operate, the sector you work in, the permissions your organisation holds and the purpose of the recording. Those rules differ between emirates and between industries, and they change.

We can describe what our equipment does. We cannot tell you that a given deployment is lawful, and nothing on this site should be read as legal advice. Before you deploy, satisfy yourself that you hold the permits and approvals your activity requires, that you are entitled to record in the locations concerned, and that your notification, retention and access arrangements meet the standards that apply to you. Where the stakes are high, take qualified local advice. You are responsible for how you use equipment you buy from us.

6. Intellectual property

The layout, written content and original photography on this site belong to us or are used with permission. Hytera, Motorola Solutions, Xignal and any other manufacturer names, logos and model designations belong to their respective owners and appear here to identify the products we supply. Their use on this site does not imply that we are those manufacturers, or that they endorse us beyond any distribution arrangement in place.

Some pages link to manufacturer datasheets, standards bodies or government sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability. A link is not an endorsement.

8. Availability of the site

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, including any product page, without notice.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on information published on this website, including lost profits, lost business, lost data or the cost of procuring replacement equipment. Liability arising from equipment we actually supply is dealt with in the supply agreement or quotation for that sale, together with any manufacturer warranty passed through to you, and not by these website terms.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with personal information collected through this site, and where responsibility for recorded footage sits once equipment is in your hands.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time you use the site is the one that applies, so please check the date below.

12. Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms should go to info@bodycamera.ae or +971 56 135 3411. Our office is on Baniyas Road, Deira, Dubai, and we answer enquiries Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 18:00 GST.
